Refractive surgeries follow-ups- things you need to know
The refractive surgeries are being done to help people to get rid of their glasses. Sometimes it is done to balance the prescription number in both eyes when one of the eye has higher number of refractive error in comparison to the other eye (anisometropia/ anisometropic amblyopia).
Evaluating parameters before refractive surgeries
Before the procedure, complete examination of eyes take place along with the detailed history of systemic health to evaluate all the parameters to understand the prognosis of the procedure.

The follow-ups are being made for the next day and for a week to check if the eye has some inflammation, dryness or sub-conjunctival haemorrhage.
More follow-ups
It is ideal for the pateints to come to followup one, three and six months past the refractive surgery. The corneal topolyzer should occur in this period of tenure to check the corneal parameters related to its ashpericity and thickness. In case of any abnormality in the shape of cornea or corneal thining the precautionary steps can be taken to get the best visual comfort and long lasting vision.
